A group of individuals pray prior to our Morning Worship. Others gather at the altar while the prelude music is played to pray for our worship. One of FWC's spiritual leaders offers a prayer of invocation each Sunday. Pastor Doug lifts up a Pastoral Prayer for congregational, community and national needs. At the close of Morning Worship a prayer is offered for those wanting to begin a relationship with Jesus.
We have a daily Prayer Chain that is mobilized through text messaging. On Wednesdays at 10:30am, a group of Prayer Partners meet to pray for the requests that have been received by family and friends at FWC. A weekly prayer bulletin is created for those who are unable to attend but are able to pray elsewhere during the week. They represent those in the Hospitals, Rehabs, Recovering a Home, Written weekly Prayer Requests, Special Needs, Those who Recently received Christ or Rededicated, Military Personnel, Physical Needs, Church needs, Supporting Missionaries and College Students.
Mayor Albert Kelly has requested that each church partner together in prayer for the protection and prosperity of Bridgeton. We have 67 current prayer partners at FWC that have agreed to pray and fast for the city of Bridgeton for one day each month for the total of one year. Specific prayer needs are listed weekly by Mayor Kelly on the web site SeekGodforBridgeton.blogspot.com
