Prayer on Sundays

Prayer on Sundays

A group of individuals prays prior to our Sunday Morning Worship. Others gather at the altar while the prelude music is played to pray for our worship. One of First Wesleyan Church's spiritual leaders offers a prayer of invocation each Sunday. Pastor Doug lifts up a Pastoral Prayer for congregational, community, and national needs. At the close of Morning Worship, a prayer is offered for those wanting to begin a relationship with Jesus or address another spiritual need.

Prayer Partners

Prayer Partners

We have a daily Prayer Chain that is mobilized through text messaging. On Wednesdays at 10:30 AM, a group of Prayer Partners meets to pray for the requests that have been received from family and friends at First Wesleyan Church. A weekly prayer bulletin is created for those who are unable to attend but are able to pray elsewhere during the week. The bulletin covers those in hospitals, rehabs, or recovering at home, as well as written weekly prayer requests, special needs, those who recently received Christ or rededicated their lives, military personnel, physical needs, church needs, supporting missionaries, and college students.
